Ever since
i began thinking about driving, i wanted a GTI. When I came upon the GTI, I realized that it was the perfect car. Based
on the Audi A 3, how could one go wrong? I first saw a 337 at the local dealer.....and i fell in
love with it. Only 1500 where distributed in the U.S. I was amazed at the components on the car; Recaro seats and
BBS wheels! Unfortunately I didn't even have my license. So, decided when time came, I would buy a 1.8T GTI
and modify it, since I probably never find a 337. Two years later, however, the 20th Anniversary edition was released.
I couldn't wait to see one. On our way to Cape May Court House, a jazz blue 20th caught my eye. With Ronal
Aristo's wheels and the Recaro seats, I knew this was the car. The next day, I was the proud new owner of a 20th AE GTI! My
dad, who has owned many cars, thought that the 20AE was the best car he had ever driven. Then we heard that a VR6
version of the 20th was going to be released. We went to the local dealership only to find that all of the R32's that were
being delivered were going to the friends and family of the dealership's owner. We decided to call up the dealer from who
we had bought the 20th. He put us on the list and a half year later we took delivery of a brand new R32. The .:R came
with Koenig seats, Ronal Aristo's and 4 motion.....and its an amazing machine. Thus we found ourselves with
two of the best cars we have ever seen.
